These magnetic pouches hold important medical information and are usually kept on the refrigerator door. Our crews know to keep an eye out for these, and they save valuable time in a medical emergency.
Address Markers
Too often a responding ambulance crew wastes valuable minutes trying to locate a residence. Shared driveways and mailboxes without numbers are only a few of the issues we face. These address markers are provided at no charge, and we will attempt to coordinate installation as needed.
Medical Assistance Program
North Stonington Ambulance keeps a current list of those persons in Town who may require assistance during natural disasters and power outages. These people include the elderly, and those dependant on electricity for life support. Having this list immediately available means faster assistance to those who need it most.
Celebrate EMS Week 2007
May 20 - May 26
This year we will be celebrating EMS week by holding a poster contest in cooperation with the North Stonington school system. The lower elementary grades will be invited to design a poster depicting Emergency Medical Services. The winners will participate in a mock-emergency and receive a ride home in an off-duty ambulance.
